Community & Environmental Engagement | Co-Teacher

Offered for the first time at Kansas State University in Fall 2024, “Community and the Environment Experience Lab (ART 194) is one of four foundational courses situated at the beginning of the Art curriculum, which explores the intersections of art, design, and social and environmental issues. In this course, students will learn how to use various media and methods to engage with and express their perspectives on topics in the social sphere, such as community identity, cultural diversity, narrative (qualitative) vis-à-vis quantitative data, and the impact of creative practice. Students will also participate in collaborative projects that involve research, fieldwork, and engagement with relevant community partners.”

This course is developed and co-taught by Anthony Warnick, Nick Geankoplis and Kelly Yarbrough.
